If anyone is interested there is a TO30 engine, just overhauled, posted on ebay at this link:

At the moment it has one bid for $900, which I find curious. It might be worth that, but it is strange the first bid would be that high...? Draw your own conclusions.

You know, $900 for a rebuilt Z-129 sounds really good to me. I bought a rebuilt short block from Central Tractor in Iowa for $1,800. This engine has the head, and lots of other little bits that aren't included in the CT engine. If you were to buy a rebuilt engine and head from CT, you would be looking at $2400 at least. Except for being the wrong freaking color (red????) this would be something I'd almost consider buying just to store for that next great TO-30 I buy...

You're right Phil, it seems a little strange... So, I went a bit further and checked this guys ratings from previous sales. The high bidder on the Z129 seems to be on several of the sellers past sales. I believe there are strict regulations on ebay about driving up bids. Too bad, the engine looks nice, but how can you trust this guy?

Right. Looks like a brother-in-law deal to me. Engine might bring $900 or even a little more if really good and with all documentation from reputable shop, but for someone other than the seller to start it that high seems fishy.
