Mine was already converted to 12 V. However, while looking at these wiring diagrams the 6V. system has a Positive ground, and the 12 V system has a Neg. ground. I wonder why mine has been converted to 12 V. and still has a Positive ground?

Did you get yours converted and did you stay with Pos ground or switch to Neg ground with the conversion?

Maybe you or someone can help?

mine was 12v when I got it 6 years ago. I THINK it's negative ground. I'll have to check - haven't looked at the battery for some time. I know that with a 6v system, it doesn't even make a difference on the polarity. I've run 6v model T's and A's either way for years. The ampmeter only needs to be reversed. AS for the 12v, I figure as long as you're not using an alternator, it shouldn't be any different with 12v. either.

Mine does have an Alternator, with the 12 Volt system including Positive ground. Since mine has an Alternator, has been converted to 12 Volt, I am assuming when a person swithces from 6V to 12V they remove the Generator and install an Alternator????? ????? Mine also has no regulator. Again I am guessing that an Alternator has got a built in voltage regulator, therefor not needing an external regulator.

Can anyone confirm this?
