You have a spare now. One gasket is correct, no gasket cement is necessary. Be careful when tightening the bolts it's easy to crack/break this old cast iron. I check the manifold gasket surface for flatness and if warped much correct this by having the manifold ground just enough to clean it up to minimize breaking it. Used ones are available and expensive.

Thanks Ray.Got another question. The new exhaust manifold is a little thicker than the old one. Can't use washers behind the nuts when installing it.Can I get by without using the washers,or do I need to replace the bolts with longer ones so that I can use washers? Thanks ,Milton K.

Washers should be used to minimize cracking or chipping the cast manifold. Try snugging down the manifold using the nuts, perhaps this will compress the gasket enough to then use washers, by removing 1 nut at a time. Then you may torque the bolts starting in the center and working to the ends. Thats how I'd do it, but my opinion and $1 will get you a cup of coffee somewhere. Enjoy, Ray
