I just bought a Ferguson, but I'm not sure what model I have. Under the steering wheel, embossed on the steering column, it says TO-3551. The serial number is TO-52892. On the plate with the serial number it says "Harry Ferguson Inc., Detroit Mich, USA" The plate has several American and Canadian patent numbers. The most recent patent date is June 6, 1950. It appears to have the original paint. The hood and fenders are grey, and the rest is orange. It runs great, and everything works. It just needs new paint, which I'd like to keep authentic. I'd also like to get a manual, once I determine the model. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of a manual, or what model I have? I expect that I'll be asking alot of questions on this board, and someday I hope to answer some.
Thanks for your help!!

Rich

I checked Evans Ferguson Page serial number link and it looks like you have a 1951 TO-20. The tractor should be all gray. Which gray is a matter of some debate. You can sometimes find manuals on the ebay auction site. If not there then Jen Sales has them. There are three available that I know of. Owners manual, shop manual and parts manual. The owners manual has routine maintenance, safety advice and some info on setting wheel widths etc. The shop manual will take you through a complete rebuild of the tractor. Part manual is what it says. In my opinion if you are going to do your own work you should have both the shop and parts manuals. Can't wait to get mine back together again. It's a great little tractor.

Neal, I to am having trouble defining which model Ferguson I have. I can't read the engine serial number, only the partial of 124782 and the tractor serial number of TO 3780? 6 or 8. The oil filter arrangement is similar to that in a service manual on a TO-20. Tractor runs great and I have cleaned it up, rough painted (wrong color), to stop any rusting. Still wanting to know what I have. Can you help? Thanks.

I tried to post the URL link to Evans page in my first post so I'll try again here in the message and in the link URL. If it works and you get to his page click on the serial number link and there will be a list of numbers to look at.
