On this board many people talk of fittinf another pump to run a loader and 3 point linkage. Over here in the uk, to do this we fit a return-to-neutral leaver, similar to that on a backhoe. The hydraulics are tapped at the bottom of the backend, and the leavers are mounted near the linkage leaver. The loader works better, and the linkage can work at the same time because you are using a different leaver.

James... Are you talking about the two(I guess it could be a single) valves that bolt on top of the transmission housing between your legs? They never were popular over here because you had to raise raise your foot so high to get it over them.

Using this valve is the only way you could use both the 3 point and aux hydraulics on the TO35's and the 100 series tractors.

We didn't have that provision to mount this valve until they came out with the TO35. When did this come out on the English models?

James, I would like to here more about mounting a hydraulic lever to operate a front loader. I am far from an expert on the operations of the 3 point linkage and the hydraulic pump. Will the hydraulic pump in a TO-20 still provide operating pressure to operate a front loader if the 3 point linkage is in the raised position? I thought I read the 3 point linkage would need to be tied down so a front loader would function properly. Thanks for your help.

George, I'm far from an expert too. But because the pump is continuously working, even when the linkage is raised. I have not experience of it personally, but i have a friend the has done it (he used to be an engineer on fergi

you are right about the lift arms having to be tied down. mine has a bracket which loops around axle and up through yoke. a pin through it holds the arms down.
