Came across Fergeson loader at local scroungers place a while back. This would be the front axle mounted loader(circa 1948).As a kid I recall my dad had one of these on a 9N Ford.but I don't recall the mounting/actuating linkage. What is there, appears to be the main lift arms and manure bucket, which though a bit weathered are in like new condition,no sign of any mounting brackets etc.How hard would it be to fabricate the axle brackets, under fender brackets and linkage(side & rear,to the 3Pt which ran this loader.Looking for pics/diagrams...Thanx

I have that set up on two TEA 20 tractors the hyd connection apparently can come from top of tractor under seat or from bottom of rear end housing. Brackets should not be to difficult to make I do not have a scanner so I can't really post any pics but if you need more info let me know. There is a pic of the manure loader at this site http://members.tripod.com/~fergusonpage/ferto-30.jpg

The loader I'm interested in didn't have any hydraulics if I recall right.Lift arms pivoted on front axle and were operated by a long shaft which ran back on each side to,I believe, a "bracket" beneath the rear axles, then somehow tied into the 3Pt arms.Loader was actuated by the 3Pt and controlled with the implement lift lever. Also the Fergeson spreader used w/this loader system had a ring hitch and there was a drawbar with a hook which allowed you to pull up,lower the drawbar, thereby unhooking the spreader and allowing you to use the loader to load it and then rehook to the spreader all w/o leaving the tractor seat.I have a picture of it in use,but alas no scanner. And I could be wrong on the hydraulics, that WAS nearly 40 yrs ago!

Joe... I had one of those loader back in the early fifties but I have never seen one since. They didn't work very well without the hydraulic boost. There is another real nice picture on the "Storment Family" Ferguson web pages:

Both of mine have small hyd cylinders and they just lift the blade about 4 inches then the rear arms take over and lift the rest of the way the cyl hook to an arm which is on a pin that bolts to the fender bracket under the rear housing, when the lift takes over everything including the cylinders move. I think this is the system used for the manure loader. On one the hyd cyl is tapped in under the rear end housing and on the other there are plug taps under the seat on the top of the rear end housing. I had my hyd apart and there are two small ports under and inside of the casting hyd fluid must run to these to work cyl. Don't know about the bottom one yet.
