I posted this at the implement alley part of this web site, but I thought it might be a good idea to post it here too - in as much as it is Ferguson implement vs MF.

Here is the text:

"Anyone ever heard of a Ferguson rake model D-EO-20? It is a side delivery, three point mounted, PTO driven (ground speed I assume) rake.

Are these things any good? Are parts available? What is a good price?

The thing looks very simple. No gear box, just the pto shaft turning a belt to the rake."

I would like to add one more question and that is how wide is this rake?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Bill - I have a DE-O-20 rake. It has been in the family since new. It doesn't get much use now, but when it did it seemed to do a very good, smooth job and has lasted 50+ years! We used it with a TO-35 so probably used the engine pto speed vs ground pto. Parts? not sure, but I think the tines are available somewhere. Price? no idea. Width? not sure, but the swath would cover at least the width of the tractor. I have original owners and parts manuals if you need copies (might take a while since I'm in CA and they are in IA).
