What's your favorite gear to bush hog in. My TO 35 seams to like 3rd gear in low. Not too fast so I don't bounce around and not too slow so it takes forever. Just curious to see what everyone else likes to run in.

With my TO-20 and a 5' bush hog, 2nd gear is best. If the going is easy 3rd is ok if it isn't too bumpy. In the real tough going I use 1st gear, not because of lack of power, but it will do a better job. I have a TO-30 engine in my Fergie.

With a 5ft..bush hog and a TO-30 I used 2nd gear for light cutting and 1st for tougher stuff. Dont forget the ORC.
