Howdy Everyone. Well here is an up-date on my ongoing Carb problem. I finally scrubbed on enough grime to get the number off the darn thing. It turns out to be a Zenith 1264. The carb is in the hands of my local Ferguson dealer and as we speak he is working on it. They just happened to have a Carb Kit for it, and the cost was $78.50. Now Im not sure if that is expensive or not. At this point I dont care. So they are going to take the carb and clean it, install the kit and set it to factory settings. I should be smiling by the weekend. Thanks to all who helped

Hi Rod

Maybe when my Ferguson Dealer gets the Carb all cleaned up I will be able to read the numbers properly, They were awful faded, and thats what they looked like to me. I was wrong ONCE before ;-) Regards Barry

Barry I am over hear in Cornwall I have lived all over Ontario my job in Montreal brought me out this way , its a one hour drive evey day into work . Your carb is not the same as mine but is doing the same thing these old things need alot of T L C and cause a lot of greif as you are finding out my tractor was a real basket case the guy saw me coming I used tractors before on the farm but that was a long time ago The tractor had a fresh oil change to hide the prestone that was leaking from the head so off comes the head and with inspection I find cracks in the block 7 places I found a welder out hear that fix that for 100 bucks any way you live and learn

Good Afternoon Glen
If Im reading your last post correct, you drive to Montreal everyday for work? That is great. Im a huge Montreal Canadiens hockey fan. My wife and I are down in Montreal on Jan. 25 & 26 for a weekend of hockey. The Canadiens play two games both starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Its very difficult for me to get tickets, So when I get the chance I take it.Great to here from you.
Barry
