I think I have bought a F40. Haven't gotten it yet, but it apparently is painted incorrectly, and I may repaint it. What are the correct colors for a '57 F40?

Gray 73371

Thanks very much, Bill. That's great info. But I am confused about the various gray versions. Are they supposed to be the same, or just different options that one is to choose from, or what? Also, this tractor has a red grill and red script lettering I think. Do you know what color red that is? Possibly same MF red as on the later TO-35? Thanks again.

My information is that the manufacturers bought paint by bid and there was variation between different grays. The dealer I buy my paint from will mix a small quanity so I can choose what I think is the most correct. I use the first number the catalog lists, but that doen't mean it is correct.
There is a long list of red paint codes listed.
They list a first color Red as 77932, then a 1956-71 red K8846 ( Muddy DK Red- Martin Senour cross listing 4763).
