Here are some pictures of a Kubota backhoe attachment that I custom fitted to my TO-20.

Can you email me a picture of your hydraulic set up? I'm interested to see how you control the front loader. Is the front loader powered by the internal pump? I've got a front loader and I want to convert to double acting cylinders.

Thanks,
Tim

the loader runs off a pump that mounts to a spline on the front of the crankshaft pulley. The tube frame is hollow and is used as the fluid resevoir. It's an original wagner loader, double acting on the tipper but only up on the main rams. I'll post some pics this weekend if I can get a chance.

Hi Terry & Dennis, These pictures are great. Thank you so much. Are these backhoes "permanently attached" or are they 3pt hitch types. Maybe this is the wrong board for the next question but, has anyone had any experience with the towable backhoes made by UBUILDITPLANS at>Link

Thanks again

The kelly 30 - circa 1980 - is a 3pt hook up and slips off and on really easy. Can't lift the back of the tractor with it, so that is a drawback. More or less the same capacity as the other one posted.

Bob, I built a small sub frame that bolts on the backhoe and a small mount that bolts on the tractor under the fender mounts and attaches to the swinging drawbar mounting holes. The backhoe frame slides onto the mount under the tractor and two pins secure it. The third point is attached at the grandfather pin just under the top link. This makes it rigid with the tractor so I can pick up the back of the tractor with the backhoe and shift it sideways or move forward and backward without having to get off the tractor. Three pins and slide the pump onto the PTO shaft and it is ready to go. I can put it on or take it off in less than 5 minutes, this being done on a smooth level concrete floor. It would be harder outside or on uneven ground. Won't do what a big one will do but sure beats a shovel.

It is a Kubota model K-650. It has a 7.5 foot reach and a digging depth of 6.3 feet.
