Cub brakes no good in reverse

Cub brakes are pretty good going forward, right better than left but will stop. Going backward they work momentarily then the pedal will go way down and no brakes. What is going on with that. Any help is appreciated!!

Just a guess,the band is loose, and it rotates to unwind it in reverse.

you are going to take the assy apart because the anchor pin area is broke

Pulled the assembly off this morning and found the brake drum had moved in toward the tranny and letting the shoe slip off to one side, cleaned it all up and put a new set screw( bolt) in and she is all good now. Thanks !!
