My hydraulic reservoir was pressurized when i removed the filler cap. is this normal. not sure if there is a vent anywhere on the system. thanks for reading.
 
True as AJ says. Here's one piece of advice for older machines: If you have any weepy cylinders or other slow leak, if you don't use your machine for extended periods, let the pressure out and put the cap back on. The amount of seepage will be nicely reduced until the machine runs again. The pressure builds up quite fast when starting up, just a few minutes of running has it up there again.
