Ford 555A aletrnator diode

Hi all,

I've got a bad positive diode on my alternator. The diode p/n is D8NN10A592AA and has been discontinued from what I can tell. Does anyone know of some sort of alternate or am I stuck purchasing an alternator? If that's the case are there any crossovers to vehicles? I've got a scrapyard around the corner from me and am looking to save a few bucks.

get with an alternator/starter shop, just because Ford NH no longer sells it doesn't mean it can't be gotten
