Hey all! So I just bought the crawler. I've ordered the brake band liners. I feel like it has had the wrong oil in it. Any tips on general maintenance on this ole girl would be appreciated! It looks pretty well stock in great shape.

That could be as that craw ler is a twin brother to the little Cletrac/Oliver and they use a special oil for longer band life. Send me an e=mail and a phone number and I
will look it up for you.

They do indeed call for Straight Mineral Gear Oil which corresponds to the GL-1 rating. Chevron still sells buckets of it. Plenty of experience on my slightly newer '61 Case 310E and yours is very, very similar. 7 liters without PTO.
You might get away with something like the GL-5 or 6 in the final drives (2 1/2 US pints each). There likely not much mixing thru the axle tubes but YMMV.
Diesel?
Of course, once you have enough posts, you will be required to show us some pictures. ;-)
