I was hearing about a Huber grader with a diesel engine with a pony motor. I don't know if it was built like a grader or a tractor. Could it have had a Caterpillar engine? Did anyone else build in line engines utilizing a pony motor?

Are you referring to the Huber-Warco grader?

I don't know. Upon further questioning this has been narrowed down to the tractor style maintainer built by Huber. And maybe the pony motor/diesel was in a different piece of equipment at the same place. (The informants memory/attention to detail may be lacking!)

Yes. And I think the newer ones have Cummins.

Years ago I had a Huber maintainer.It was powered by a Ford tractor diesel,and looked like a long wheelbase tractor.It had the grader blade,and had a small push blade on the front too.
