Looking for an equipment junkyard that buys old machinery near Pennsylvania. Have a 955 that does not run and looking to get rid of.

I know of a couple in eastern PA and NY
along the Delaware river. PA is a big
state I think you need to be a little
more specific. That also may be too old for some.

Sorry. North eastern PA region. Near Poconos.

Arthur Trovei & Sons, Sparrowbush NY
Keesler Truck and Tractor, Middletown NY
Old Forget Power Equipment, Carbondale PA

I sold an IH 175B loader to Keesler,
thought he was fair as he had to truck it
also. Trovei is a big dealer and not too
bad also.

Good luck.

Wenger's is the biggest tractor salvage yard out in Eastern PA. Might try them. The AMOC suggestion might get you your best price. I am assuming that you
need a pick up and can not deliver it.

(quoted from post at 05:40:43 01/31/23) What is the matter with it that it does not run? Engine, transmission?

Parked a few years ago because it over heats. Needed a new radiator or it cleaned and fan belt tensioner was broken. My father just never got around to fixing it.

Doesn't sound like all that much to fix and then would bring better money for it as a running machine. Radiator blow out and new fan belt with a tensioner . So we are talking about 500 for parts maybe and 3-10,000 versus scrap price of 150ton by 12ton about. I'm guessing on the weight and price of scrap.

(quoted from post at 05:59:16 02/02/23) I wish I was closer I would look at it and consider it. Close to 600 miles makes it a bit out of reach.

That s just to get running. If radiator can be cooked. May need new. Then looking at tracks and such just to make it a more workable machine. Just to do work on radiator does take time and money. Both are short supply. Have thought about it numerous times tho.

Look up Diesel Creek on youtube. Matt is a collector of old and forgotten machinery. I THINK he has a 955 and would likely buy another.
