Case 450 Serial Number

I have a Case 450 loader/crawler that was repainted. I can't find any serial number plate to identify the machine. The details were removed and new ones attached. I think it is an early 450 and not a
later version. Without the serial number I am wondering how else I tell what it is. It doesn't have the 4 cylinder Cummins engine, it looks different than a Cummins. Are there any other markings or
stamped numbers I should be looking for?

My initial take is yes and no. Kinda looks like the 450B in the picture but it seems a bit older. I understand the picture is of the tractor new but I really should go out to the farm and get some pics of it
and bring them back. The paint job messed with any decals. The unit was used to clear a thorny bush that grew in sandy fields in the south. Don't know how it ended up in WI but I own it now. I will try to
get some pics this next weekend if I can.

The early 450 was made from 1965 to 1979, the 450B followed 'til 1983. I believe the Case 4 cyl. 207 cu. in. engine first came out in 1976. Even an engine serial # may get you info in the 'Case Tractor' column on this forum. If you come across the serial # anywhere on the machine, do post it here and we can tell the year of manufacture.
