I-250-PL tractor

Hello,
Not sure if I am in the right place or not but, I have an IH I-P250-PL tractor and today a pin fell out of the shifting linkage while I was using it. I have looked everywhere on the computer that comes up and
I can't find any information on this particular tractor. I was hoping to find a picture of how the linkage should be. It currently will go into neutral or into reverse if the shift lever is moved into the
forward low position.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Some pictures of it would help. a picture of the ID tag would be good to include as well, if it has one.

If you are posting using Modern View, you should be able to post pictures now that you have one text post on record. If you are using the Classic View, you will need at least five text posts on record before you can post pictures.

In either case there is a limit of about 7MB for the size. That is for one picture, or the total of up to ten pictures, in a post.

Jim it shows he has 12 posts so he should be good. To
post photos you need to scroll down lower in the New
post or reply window and find the ..Choose files..
button below the words ..Upload Photos/Videos.. that
will take you to your photo file storage to choose a
photo to post. I am guessing you have a 250a
industrial tractor, see first link. Here is another post dealing with one of these tractors. So after looking through this info do you agree this is similar to your tractor and if so what type of 3 transmissions do you think your machine would have?

YT post hopefully about your tractor model

Good morning,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for the responses. I have attached 7 pictures. Hopefully! The tractor does look like the 250-A but has no hydrostatic shifting. I was able to get the
linkage lined up enough to go forwards and backwards in low range. Haven't taken the time to play with it any further. It is not a very pretty tractor, but I only paid $1,200 for it a couple of years ago and
it does what I need it to do for the most part. The ID plate is well worn but most of the numbers are readable.

Okay, those pictures confirm that you indeed have a 250 industrial tractor. Now a photo of the location of where the pin fell out would be in order. Likely it may be normal pin and clevis type linkage that any GOOD hardware store should carry. See the example in the link.
Example

The 1st couple of pictures you can see just to the right of the name plate the lynch pin that I put in to put the linkage back together. The problem I have is that I had moved the range selector shifter before I knew that the pin had fallen out causing all of the mechanism to get all jumbled up. I haven't found the right combination yet on how all of the notches and fingers need to be lined up. I was hoping to find a diagram that would show how it all needs to be timed. Currently I am able to go forwards and backwards in low range, but it just doesn't go into hi range. I will take and post some more close up pictures tomorrow evening. All I have found for a repair manual so far is one for a 250A. Not knowing if that will show what I'm looking for, I have been hesitant to purchase one. I am guessing that the (A) stands for Agricultural. I haven't found anything to tell me what the (PL) stands for. Noah Sparks (Farm Manuals Fast) said he was unaware of anything other than the 250A manual.
