A Good Case Plowman

I wish there was a good plowman close to me so I could learn how to correctly set and adjust a plow. I have read a lot on it and several guys here have sent me good info and drawings, but a hands on teaching to take notes from is the the best way to learn for me

Where are you located. Keep your eyes peeled for a plowing competition or plow day in your neck of the woods and try it out. These may help too:

I'm in Southern Illinois. There are a few shows that have plowing demonstrations and some local farmers that have a plow day. I have asked many of them and they really don't know and say just set it level side to side in the furrow. I know that will work, but I know there's more to it than that. The plow I have is a 3-14 Case pull type. Thanks for the video links, I have seen a couple of them

Youre a nationwide, Rod! We hope to see you in Pennsylvania for the fall nationals . For those seeking information, I was gifted this publication from the agricultural experiment station agricultural extension service, Iowa State college, Ames, Iowa. Bulletin P 95. Connor turned me onto this publication several years ago and it has been quite helpful. Also, I met Bill Jennings several years back at one of our Plow days. He is a very knowledgeable fellow and has been quite instrumental in bringing a lot of fellows plows into correct operational service. CM
