3594 2 point problem and old abe sighting

I picked up a 3594 (87 model ) on auction and I knew it had problems so I feel bought it right. going to use for vertical tillage in spring and v-ripper in fall. it had a list of problems including bad radiator, oil leak from turbo line, valve cover gaskets needing replace, new belts on motor etc. for my question as to the 3 point hitch not working if you drive it and with the radiator being bad I did not ever let it run long, but driving a half mile it raised apx 6 inches, the cable are ok and I have a case Manuel for this and reading the flow chart in the book pointed me to the charge pump. I asked one of my parts guys and he asked about the if I tried the PTO and I didn't so when I moved it to the work shop I pulled the lever and pto works fine but by the time I got back out of the cab the lift arms were all the way up. has anyone had the same problem ? I need to dig in the book more but wanting to get a good direction before doing so. also put a pic of old abe that was cast into front bolster, I had 4 of the 6 bolts break when replacing radiator so I got the mag-drill out and re did them. thanks in advance for any help.

I remember some mention of Abe being on a casting but not the details of where it was. I read this in a Case club magazine. Of course at the time not many being taken apart for any reason.
