1945 VAI Water Pump

Hi,

Does anyone have advice on where I might be able to find a new or rebuilt water pump for my 1945 VAI? I wouldn't mind even building the one I have but I'm not sure where I can buy the rebuild kit (VTA773). And I would need the pulley also. Thanks.

I have seen a few (and this site was the first placed I checked) but I also noticed that there seems to be a difference between pumps depending on the engine block. A few site say the pumps they have are for engines #4700000 and later. Mine is VAC124-30632 which I think is before this. Does that make a difference?

I wasn't sure if the one from this site would fit an engine block pre #4700000? Also, any ideas about where I could find a new pulley (VT135)? One my existing pump someone welded the pulley to the pump shaft. Not going to be using that one again.

Thanks

Fit the block just fine.
Did get a narrow belt pully from a boneyard, however;
don't remember if it was on account of the water pump or because I converted it to 12V alternator.
I think the older WP's had a provision to be grease lubed with an extra hole into the housing. I'm hoping modern day coolant will lube the bellows seal instead. Seems to work on millions of cars.
