|  14:22 11/03/16 Getting to work....| So my uncle dropped off the tractor yesterday...Based on the VIN it is a 1941 M. Most Ms this far gone would end up in the scrap heap but I like the challenge and I am not looking to do the "make it look brand new" thing. I just want to get it running and make it look like it did in its farm days. | | |

| 10:07 11/07/16 Missing PartsGetting under way here I need to work on the steering support so I need to pull the wheel. This proves to be a task because it is rusted in place. Looking it over I can see a number of missing parts.
- Air Cleaner
- Muffler
- Belly Pump
- Radiator Sheet Metal
- Grill
- Front Hub/Rim
- Steering Shaft Cover
- Starting Ratchet Springs
And parts too damaged to be functional:
- Wiring Harness
- Front Rim
- Manifold
- Seat
- Steering Support

| 07:46 05/16/18 Transmission Cover| I am still focused on rebuilding the motor but I wanted to have a look at what waited cor me in the transmission. After pulling the belt pulley drive I saw a lot of rust from open bolt boles allowing a little water and the PTO leaking the fluid down over time. Scrubbing with a toothbrush a little it actually doesnt look that bad. There is a missing tooth on one gear and its match so we will see if it all has to come out... | | |

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
