I just bought a 15" rotary cutter at a auction. It is a Landpride model 6015 and i used it for the first time last saturday and i am confused on why the vents is not working on all 3 gearboxes.Maybe they are i just have some other problem. After i use it and the oil heats up in the boxes air bubbles and some oil starts coming out between the threads on the cast gearbox and the brass threads on the vent.It does not vent out of the top cap on vent plug like it is supposed to.I took the vent out and tried blowing compressed air through it thinking it could be stopped up and screwed it back in and it done the same thing as before.I take it back out put it in a vice poped the cap off of vent and a found a spring and a rubber seat under it.Why is this happening and why are they a spring and seat in there? The gearboxes are not over full. The only thing i can think of is the gearboxes have 90W GL-5 lube in them and the owners manual says to use 90W EP could this be the problem and if not what is?
