I posted a few days ago about trying to truck my IH 3414 backhoe between two properties I have in northern Michigan with my Ford pickup. I'm double-posting this in this two forums, and I watch both for replies.
Well - change in plans. I just got a pretty good deal on a Case 310 diesel dozer with a six-way blade. It only weighs around 6800 lbs which is a lot less then my 3414 wheel-loader-hoe.
So, now my new plan is to truck my new Case dozer, and my Deere 420 crawler loader over there (one at a time) - and use both to build the roads I need (instead of my 3414).
Anybody got exact measurements on the Case dozer? My main concern is the outside width of the tracks. I want to make sure it will fit on my DitchWitch 6 ton trailer. The deck is kind of narrow between the fenders. I know that my Ford 641 farm tractor just squeezes in, but it may be wider then the dozer.
My DitchWitch T12A trailer is 74.5" wide between the fenders and the flat part of the deck is 13' long. If that crawler is wider then 74.5 inchs at the tracks, I'm going to have a problem.

It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership,
