Ford ought to take a lesson from Toyota! I have a friend who asked me one day if my truck frame was rusty. (My truck was 10 years old, his was 3-4.) Both Rangers. I looked at his frame, and asked if he had bought it new. He said yes. I asked if he had taken the truck back to the dealer. He said yes, but they wouldn't do anything about it. Said he should of had it "rust-proofed" which he hadn't. I bought a wrecked 97 Ranger, and fixed it. When i looked at the frame--it was rusty. but, nothing i could do about it-i bought it wrecked, as-is. The spare tire hanger fell off as i tried to take down the spare! My Daughter-in-law bought a new Toyota pickup. the frame fell all apart, and it wouldn't pass state inspection. (PA) She took it to the Dealer, and they gave her the money back! But,they kept the truck!
