I'm not sure about other engines but this happened with my brother M670.When we re-bored the cyllinder jugs, it must have gone through the water jacket and pressurized the coolant system. If i remember right, we had to replace the gasket and put (high-tac)? on the gasket for a better seal. It seemed to fix the problem. It was a while ago so im trying to remember everything.
