For anyone who has removed clutches from a 371 Bobcat, I'm trying to remove the two rear clutches, but having some trouble.
I've got the shaft out that runs from the adjusting nuts on both sides, but the clutch assemblies don't want to budge much. The service manual makes it sound like they will come out once you pull the shaft, but it"s not happening that way.
There appears to be a sleeve for each clutch, and that is still held in the center and tight on the side of the machine. Before taking the big hammer to it all, what else can be done?
The clutches are coming out to remove the rear axles to replace the rear axle seals, otherwise I wouldn't be messing with them since they appear OK. Thanks for the help. Sorry for double posting, but don't know where a 371 actually fits.
