help!!!!! i am planting a vineyard in prince edward county, ont. ca. i have super a which we have modified to support another set of hydraulics. specifically we have put a power steering pump from a dodge 1/2 ton running off the fly wheel pully.we have built a belly mount ram system which de-hills and hills the vines in spring and fall. the hydraulic ram works great, but now we have designed a vine auger attatchment with a eaton 20 hp hydraulic motor with 2to 1 reduction gear box. the problem is that the ps motor doesn't give us enough rpm to the auger and it stutters when it has to put out too much torque. we don't want to go to a pto pump because of the live take-off problem-real pain in the butt when you have to dig 4000 vine holes. can anybody tell me a] what the gallons per minute a ps pump puts out b] what pump i should get to up the rpm and torque on the auger-vickers,eaton,etc--gpm etc any advice would save a lot of head scratching-- and i promise a case of wine for the solution thanks in advance, jim lahti
