I posted a few weeks ago about my new to me Ollie 1750 diesel not being able to lift my Massey 520 disc very well. I had to have the engine almost PTO rpm and it would slowly raise it all the way, slooooowly. Well, neighbor wants me to hit that 26+/- acres of beans stubble for him right behind the combine, so yesterday I fired the ol girl up 40 deg and she popped right off by the way!! Any way, with the tractor idling, i thought i would try the hydraulics, and the disc raised right up, no problem? What gives? Is it possible I have to light of hydraulic oil? Is it possible I have an intermittent bypass inside or something. Before It didn't work worth a darn and yesterday it works like a new tractor. I did buy a $100 3.5" cylinder if I need it, currently has a 2" on the disk.
