We started about 11 this morning. Beans are a pleasant suprise. Seems like these 3.1 beans are going to be mid 50's. I figured for sure all the cool damp weather and the sudden death would keep them under 50.
At 5 this evening we had only 36 rows left out of a nice 80 acre field when cliff hollered on the radio we had trouble. Clean grain auger under the seives had broke. This happened once before a few years ago. Not a big deal but ended harvest for the day. He was moving along at a amazing pace. This was probably the most acres per hour we have ever got over. Its a 2366 with a 25 ft platform running in excess of 5mph. He wasnt even unloading on the go because when we tried I got stuck, again, fourth time this fall.
If it doesnt rain we will get the combine back together first thing in the morning and get going. It was another beautiful fall day. bill
