? on pressurized sand blaster units

Looking for info. on the smaller pressurized sand blaster units, such as how much compressor is req'd., are units good for only small projects, or would they be capable of preparing tractor for painting, and ball park figure on cost. Any recommendations? Thank You in advance, Dave Zook
