Last night I saw an ad online for a Massey Harris 44 with a DUAL loader. The tractor is 9 miles north of me. I called midmorning and really wanted it. I almost begged but the seller said that a guy was coming to see it (a 3 hour, one way, drive). I understood that he has to honor the guys look. I was pretty bummed out. Nobody drives 3 hours and doesn't buy it.
Well... he didn't buy it.. BUT let me tell you WHY!!!
He is a collector. You know what happened?
He said "If he is going to put it to work on the farm, let him have it if he wants it".
Well, I fairly FLEW out of the farm and to the tractor. It is in FINE shape.
I wanted to pay the mans guy's but couldn't get the seller to call him.
How COOL is THAT?????
Really makes me proud to be in the tractor community. It triples my ability to do work. Now my Farmall 400 can do the pulling, dragging, PTO stuff and the Massey can do the lifting and cleaning...
