Hi folks. We're just finishing our new house, and with it come new challenges. First, we have a 900 ft. gravel driveway that needs springtime grading and winter snowplowing (typically 6 in. snowfalls). Then, we have about an acre and a half of cleared land, about half of which we plan to turn into orchard and garden, the balance being lawn. There's about 12 more acres of woodlot that I intend to lightly manage. I'm a fair mechanic, but I don't want to spend all my waking hours finessing fussy equipment. Older equipment appeals to me, but I don't have much experience with it. I'd really appreciate hearing any thoughts on what tractors might work well for us. Clearly, an heirloom is out of the question, because it's going to see regular use. I want something that's the right size, is reliable and repairable, and that I won't feel guilty about scratching. Regards to all, Andy
