Nevermind what anybody GOT for Christmas. Did you GIVE anything special, once in a lifetime sort of thing that made you tear up or anything? I gave my oldest son a cow to get him started. He's 26,was obsessed with farming until he started auto mechanics class his junior year in High School. He milked with me until he graduated, but didn't want to do it the rest of his life. I sold the dairy cattle 4 years ago and went in to the cow/calf business. Two years ago,he changed jobs and said he missed farming but not milking. Wanted to know how he could get in to the cattle business. We made up a plan for him to start buying cows from me one at a time, but life kept happening and getting in the way,so he never had the extra money. So,I went out and took some pictures of a 3 year old bred Angus, put two of them in a double frame and gave it to him. He was a little confused at first about why I gave him pictures of a cow. The wife explained it to him. I haven't seen him that happy about a Christmas present since I gave him his first toy tractor.
