Thats BULL IF ya have a 500 dollar craftman tool set and a BOOK you can fix it for a bunch less . Look around for the parts ya need and get prices from everybody . next find a good old fashioned Machine shop for the stuff ya can not diy . I have seen this happen to many folks on the bargain of the year only to find out that is a nighmare of the year . A little time a few bucks you can have it up and running , but the down side is that you will never get back what ya put into it . Only the use . I have seen this way to many times on construction equipment way more then on the ag equipment . Years back i fixed a 580 B for a guy that got raked over the coals and if he had just taken someone that knew equipment with him to loook at it first before writing the check he would have been 10000 dollars to the good . If he had knowen that i know people that sell this stuff and they are people that you can trust he could have bought the same machine for 2000 lees that would have worked.
