The Allis Chalmers 190XT is turning out to be a deep can of worms. When i bought it I test drove it, each gear, on and off the throttle, didn't jump out of gear, no noises, everything worked, 3 point, engine sounded good, smoked alittle but was smooth. I got it home and ran it around some and guess what, it jumped out of gear. I have it completely torn down now, every nut and bolt, found one inch deep muck in the trans/diff., chipped teeth on all the gears but the countershaft gears, the mainshaft is worn down where the gears sit on it, the gears wobble some. I figured $3,000 in the budget for the trans fix but now it's turning out to be around $5,000. Then the clutch, engine, etc.etc. I was thinking about changing my name to "In Too Deep" but there's already a guy on here with that name. I'm finished crying, and no I don't feel any better. lol. At least I'll end up with a new tractor
