Aloha, I have a Lincoln welder and have a question on the charging system. The regulator has 1 terminal in the back that goes to the A terminal on the motor/generator (used to start the engine and chagres the batt). There are 3 terminals on the bottom of the regulator marked L (tech said that is used for the idiot light if wanted), F goes to F on the motor/generator, and B goes to the battery. Ok now the question, if I wanted to polarize the generator, how would this be done? I saw one article that says to momentarily place a short jumper wire from the Batt terminal to the Gen terminal of the regulator. What would be the gen terminal?? Would that be the terminal in the back of the regulator that goes to A on the motor/generator?? TIA Mahalo, doogdoog
