None of the above. I owned a 93' 6.5 diesel. Had 70,000 on it when I got rid of it. Had been through 4-5 injection pumps and I believe 3 auto trannies. Used it on the farm and did alot of towing. Albeit a strong motor, it is just prone to spend alot of time in the shop unless GM has made an update. Only had mine until 97' so dont know what happened after that. I personnally would not bother with an older gas for towing much more than my lawn mower. Just my opinion. I would reccommend Ford with the Navistar diesel or a Dodge with the Cummins. Both are awesome engines. Known many of those to have 250,000 trouble free miles. I followed my GMC with a F-350 w/Powerstroke. Has 150,000 trouble free miles. Only problems were the trans and rear diff which were both as a result of my abuse. If you are a GM loyalist I under stand. My dad used to be as well. That is until I bought my Ford. My$.02
