I no longer have a friendly local JD dealer,it seem it is now part of a multi-store conglomerate.I have three Deere tractors from the 60s-80s a 710,1830,and a 2140.When I went in today to get fluids and filters I was informed that no parts will be stocked for tractors more than 10-15 years old unless the cross over to a newer tractor. So I asked how long if I order them? The answer was 2 or 3 days till who knows when.It all depends on the closeness to stock order date, and which warehouse it comes from.He then went on to tell me I should trade up to newer tractors that have overnight parts service.Looks to me that all they want to deal with is what they've sold you the heck with anything you already own!Is this the John Deere of the future?I can just imagine the prices with no other Deere dealers around!
