Ford 8000

I am looking at an 8000. Tractor looks good, has newer paint job, tires 80%, runs good, no oil leaks, everything works good mechanically, the tach. and the guages do not work. The owner is unsure of the hours. I don,t think he is trying to hide anything , I think he really dosen't know the hours. What is a fair price for this tractor? Has anyone had any bad experiences with the 8000. Thanks
