I've just been offered a good deal on some really nice hay, problem, the hay is in 3x3x8 square bales, about 700 lbs each. I have only a little 8n tractor. Is there a 3 pt attachment which can make handling these bales possible and fairly efficient. (I've got a ten foot ceiling in my pole barn. and would only need to stack three high.) Could a boom pole be altered to work like a fork lift, without toppling the tractor. Is there a reasonable fork lift attachment? I've thought about an inverted "L" with a pulley attachment on top. I can get a 12 volt winch cheap and my tractor will be a 12 volt in one more evening.
