The combine forum section is a little quite this time of year, so I will post my question here. My question concerns a John Deere 9400 with a Hillco leveling device on the face of the combine feeder house. No heads available that have the required parts. This attachment allows the head to follow the ground contour independent of the combine wheels. The unit itself is very similar to the John Deere 6620 sidehill throat regarding how it pivots. This one has a hydraulic cylinder underneath that either retracts or extends with the cylinder at halfway being level. I assume John Deere offerred something similar as well under the name of Contour Master?? As I stated this one is a Hillco. I assume everything needed on the combine is there, but what do you need on the head to make this Hillco work? Again there are no heads to look at. First picture shows the Hillco at the front of the combine (poor picture). Second one is the company that produced it. Any idea of what needs to be attached to a head to make it work? Did they work well? Cost? Thanks.

It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership,
