Awhile ago I asked for some advice on what to do with the floor on the trailer I am fixing up and got some good answers. The floor had some oil stained spots and I was going to paint it with the latex I had on hand but knew the paint would not stick. Some of you suggested a Kilz sealer product. I bought a gallon and did some experimenting-wiped the stains with thinner first an put on 2 coats. 1st one was 2 quarts Kilz-2 quarts thinner and 1 quart flat black. I let it dry for a week and put the second coat on. 2 quarts Kilz-1 Quart thinner and 1 quart flat black. The Kilz is white and by mixing the black in I got battleship gray. I am trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear but I am happy with the way it came out. I have to put some new hold downs and wire the brakes and will be done--THANKS to all of you---Tee
Redoing the door
Had one of four coats of white on
About done
New plywood
Old guy paintbrush
Bolted a four inch brush to a stick--no bending over-worked good
The wife's idea on the yellow-I was a little sloppy painting and she touched it up while I was bumming at the pull in Tulsa last weekend!
