Anyway to identify the brand of an old wagon running gear ? ? My fathers first farm wagon, bought used about 1947. Had steel wheels, he had a welder change it to rubber rims. It had removable side & end boards. Could be a grain hauler or could be a flatbed for hay. In July 1948, Dad was combining oats. Old AC combine, not very big hopper. He told me to watch for him to stand up and wave, then I could drive the Farmal H, with this wagon, around the field to where He was sitting with a full hopper. Simple huh ?? well I was headed the opposite way and as I turned around, I turned too sharp. The old wagon tongue had a swivel end, The big tire hit that tongue and rolled the wagon right up on it's side. That's where I got it stopped!! Spilled a couple hoppers of oats. I was 6 years and one month old ! ! ! I do have a sentimental connection with this old gear ;-)
