Moondoggie,
About a year ago I bought a 1964 Ford 4000, four cylinder diesel tractor. One of the first things I noticed about it was that there was a "clicking" sound coming from one of the rear wheels. "Uh, oh", says I. "I wonder if I have a bearing going bad." The brakes were very low so I decided to jack the tractor up and adjust the brakes. In the course of messing with the wheels, I decided to check the lug nuts and the bolts that hold the power adjust rims on. I found a number of them to be a bit loose. Tightened up all of the bolts, and no more "clicking".
