On a 1% score, which is very frugal odds if you ask me, a million calls will yield 10,000 replies and that can yield 1000 scores for not much invested vs how much they can scam out of the 1000 scores. Some people are afraid of their shadow. AARP had a pro-conner story once and the guy said that in the first minute he knows if he has you as a potential scam. Two of his pet cues are if you ask questions and for sure if you tell him "wait a minute, let me get a pencil".
