I am glad your problem was not as bad as you thought it was.
Here is MY experience with bad fuel. The Stanadyne fuel de-icier IS not very effective against a fuel issue. IT is mostly alcohol which is fine IF your problem was water or ice. You need a good fuel conditioner. That treats the fuel to protect it from algae and helps with lubrication issues in stall/old fuel.
If I remember correctly that Ford 7000 has a Simms injection pump. They are known for sticking rack issues. One bad batch of water/contaminated fuel and you could very easily have to have your injection pump rebuilt.
Also change the oil in the injection pump ASAP!!! It is separate from the engine oil. I used to see several Ford tractors a year with wrecked injection pumps from the owner not knowing to change the oil in the injection pump.
