I am not yet sure on GPM or apparent load to the motor. I am still trying to determine what torque and rpm is required. I do now that a lot of motors run at well over my desired speed which would probably be 50-100rpm. The motor may not have to be all that big with that kind of torque amplification.
I do have a complete hydro pump, tank, motor system on my hydro swing that just runs perfect but certainly does get too hot to touch. Not sure why a tractor would care either way but I don't want to hurt the tractor for sure!
I just cannot get over the cost of these PTO pumps! I am not sure what the capacity is of the one on the hydro swing but it SWEET! Cute and runs a decent size hydro motor that runs the reel, sickle bar, and conditioner rolls. I would think that would be plenty! Just need to find one cheap enough if I need to go that way.
I do have thoughts and plans to mate this to a smaller tractor for pro services in tight spaces where typical well rigs cannot get. I know I can get business just by being the go to guy for backyard wells.
