Well, we have had major flooding in the area. One life lost. The small creeks and tributaries just couldn't handle the massive amounts of rain that has come down. I went to the woods yesterday to load up the Chebby wood getter and got sodered in the hay field coming out, and had to walk home, Loaded the wifey onto the 770 and went up to pull it out. Fields are lakes and small streams. Went down to my cousin's home today to divert the creek that chose a new course through his house and yard, with my Kubota KX41 trackhoe, and his dad and he brought down the skidsteer and Maxxum to clear the debries. After 6 hrs. I had a nice high berm made from all the stone that had acumilated in the creek when the water pooled because the 36" culvert on the county road coundn't take the flow. Called the county about the problem and they said " do what you got to", as the road was far worse below, and officially closed. While they cleared up the debries, I started building a berm with all the stone that had acumilated. I got the water flowing thru the culvert, and then started dreging the creek and built a berm with the riprap. Pulled several willow clumps from the middle of the streambed, and things are much better. Brought in 20 Ton of crusher run. to repair the driveway, but 30 would have been more apropriate. These are pics. from yesterday and today Loren, the Acg.

It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer.
